WellPerform carried out a screening of the low temperature (< 150°C) geothermal potential in the three states, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Potential sandstone reservoirs, related depths and temperatures were evaluated, assessed and risked by Play Screening. The screening area covered more than 400,000 km2 and was based on publicly available research data and regarded as a High-level Play Screening.
The risked play maps were created to support Client’s management decisions on which areas would be most prolific for looking in more detail for a certain temperature at a specific depth.
